Ducat is a very tall, stylish buck, probably one of the most attractive I
have ever owned. I love the style and looks of his dam, LH Mountain Vista
Koruna, and when she won first in the 5-6 year old class at the 2012 US
National Show, it was icing in the cake. His sire is also producing some
lovely does in the Saada herd. Ducat produced his first kids this year and
they did not disappoint. They exhibited a lovely style and elegance that is
really eye catching and the escutcheons on his daughters are amazing.

Duke's pedigree is full of milk. His mother was #1 in Canada for milk in 1995 and 1996. She also classified VG89 at 2 years of age. His granddam on his sire side was #4 in Canada in both 1993 and 1994 at 3-11 years.
His grandsire on his sire side was a breed leader in the USA for milk and his mother milked 4000 lbs/year. Duke has a very quiet temperment, as do his babies. He has good feet and legs and a nice high, wide escutcheon. His paternal sisters are milking quite well with yearling records of 1007 kgs/292 days, and 1096 kgs/287
days and 896 kgs/296 days.
Duke has since passed away.

great feet and legs, is very long bodied and super level on the rump. His

Kodiak is an impressive buck, exhibiting length,
height and dairyness. I love the angulation of his back legs and the strength in
all his pasterns. His dam Saada Bearly Zimri,has been in the top five at each
National Show she has attended, as a milker beginning with 2nd/2nd udder as a
yearling and 1st/1st udder as a two-year-old and 3rd/3rd udder at the 2012
National, and in 2013 5th. In 2010 INBA named her an All American. His full
sister, Saada Bearly Zooey, did very well at the 2013 US Nationals, placing 8th.
Zimri and Zooey also took 3rd place in the dam/daughter class. Kodiak’s
daughters exhibit strong dairy character and have extremely well attached
udders. His bloodline is slower maturing but definitely worth the wait. |
